My contributions 👨🏻‍💻

Senior Software Engineer @ Stockx

2022 - Present

When I started looking for my next role, my goal was not to find a place to work that not only accepted, but embraced me. Work ethic has never been a problem for me, but when you're working on something you choose to interact with in your spare time, it makes work feel a little less like work. I joined StockX when Sneaker culture was at an all time high. They had recently acquired a Startup called Scout, an inventory management tool that helps sellers manage their inventory across multiple marketplaces. I was an instant fit and have been working on this team for almost 2 years.

I primarily work as a backend engineer, helping design and plan new projects and features. I handle a lot of platform related work, and spend a lot of time with product and design to ensure we're able to deliver the best possible experience to our users.

Lead Software Engineer @ Humming

2020 - 2022

I joined a small Tacoma based startup called Humming. In April 2021, we set out to build a fully self-serve platform to make advertising more accessible to small businesses. It needed to be powerful and flexible, but not overwhelming to new users. The campaigns had to be automatically trafficked to a demand side platform. We successfully accomplished this goal and launched our MVP, check out this demo I created.

Over the span of 15 months I led architectural backend design on over a dozen micro-services, a containerized API, multiple databases, and handled all devops related work. In addition to software development, I like to dabble in UX design product management. Here's a pre-development Wireframe I designed to serve as an internal operational management tool for the platform, along with screenshots of final post-production web application that I built in react.

Software Engineer @ Gratafy (Acquired by Inmar)

2016 - 2020

I initially came aboard to help with the onboarding and implementation of Gratafy's restaurant Point-of-sale integration and general product operations, but a lack of development resources left me managing some outdated, often buggy software. I used this time to learn how to code with the goal of fixing some of the challenges I was facing. Within a year grew into the primary developer of the Point of Sale integration, allowing other engineers to focus on a new digital marketing solution leveraging Facebook Messenger. Gratafy began working with brands like Bud Light, San Pellegrino, Kahlua, and Absolut, to allow customers to sample their beverage by providing a 3 digit redemption code to their server or bartender. By the end of 2017 I had transitioned to a full time engineer. In early 2018, Gratafy was acquired by Inmar where we continued to provide unique marketing campaigns for some of the worlds biggest brands including the 2018 Snickers Hunger Handoff campaign with the NFL.
